Malaysia is foreover our homeland no matter what corners of the world we are in, where our roots originate from. Malaysian blood circulates in our body even when we have been exposed to the cultures of other countries.
It is not announced yesterday (Monday) ~ The chicken botak really doesnt have any ball even though the late he announces the more votes he is going to lose.
Now i look forward to hearing the announcement this Friday...
I heard from a school´s teacher last Friday that EC has made a venue reservation with the school for voting purpose scheduled end of this month...
I didnt fly back to Malaysia last year as all these two years i have been waiting for GE announcement to fly back to vote. When i flew to the U.S. last October, and i was thinking should election be announced during my two-week visit in the U.S., i would get a ticket to fly back fm the U.S. to Malaysia.
Right now I have flown back to Malaysia for two months from 6th February to carry out my duty as a member to my family too. My return flight to Zurich is scheduled on 2nd April.
I have a 4-day meditation retreat to attend in Bern, Switzerland from 4th April to 7th April. My mother-in-law´s birthday celebrate in Germany on 7th April. I have meetings scheduled in Switzerland on 8th April to 10th April.
I have been waiting and waiting for the GE announcement in order to re-organize my schedules accordingly. I really endeavour my best to cast my vote in person without giving myself any excuse.
Some Malaysians at home may not bother to step out from their house to the near-by polling stations. Whilst, for me, it takes me 3 days in the journey as the time sitting in the plane alone would take 16 hours for a single journey without counting the time of transit as well as time spending on the road heading to airports.
Why am i so stubborn? Why i have been spending my time, energy and money to make sure i cast my vote in person in Malaysia?
Because i am eager to see the establishment of a bi-partisan system in Malaysia that Malaysia has yet to establish to encourages counter-check-and-balance culture to ensure accountability and transparency. Should a bi-partisan system is estalished, the handky-penky activisits of those irresponsibile representatives in any party would likely to be exposed and thus those representatives will tend to watch out their own behaviour, learn to be responsible and accountabale to their real Boss - the voters, the People.
INI Kalilah! NOW or Never!
Should CHANGE not happen this time, i strongly believe there will not be any chance as right now BN has done so many destruction to the systems to ensure they continue to stay in power, moreover should BN be able to sustain their power again...
You may say BN wont be able to win again as most Malaysians have decided to kick BN out of the political arena in Malaysia. Yes, it is true that most Malaysians have woke up and they have joined the force of People Power to push for a change towards a better Malaysia. Nevertheless, all of us have been endeavouring to ensure the number of BERSIH votes is able to outnumber the number of phantom voters.
Should you still care about Malaysia and your fellow Malaysians, please come out / fly back to vote!
INI Kalilah! NOW or Never!
For me, should election is not held during my present two-month stay in Malaysia, i still intend to buy another air-ticket to fly back to cast my vote in person in Malaysia.
Yes, air ticket is expensive. However, nothing can be more important than the fate of our country!
IF YOU DON´T VOTE, MALAYSIA MAY GO MISSING!
MAKE YOUR BEST EFFORTS TO COME OUT / FLY BACK TO VOTE!
SAVE MALAYSIA!!!
A song in Cantonese Language with English subtitles
Fear of Change? Want a stability in Life? Let ask yourself what sort of life you are living nowadays in Malaysia!?
What fear can you still have while the fact is You and Your family members already have been living in great fear with the deteriorating safety conditions in Malaysia!?
Bersih Shanghai launches the “Go Back To Vote Campaign” today where
voters residing in China could get their air fare subsidised.
The campaign serving two objectives: 1. To collect and publish a list of “going back” voters in order to promote "Go Back To Vote"
2. To subsidy minimum RMB500/person to registered Malaysian voters in
China who need the support, allowing them to fly back and vote for GE13.
Bersih Shanghai believes that the General Election is one of the most
decisive factors and institutions deciding whether a Nation is growing
prosperous or fail, it will decide the fate of our country and affecting
all level of people.
Subsidies are subject to available
sponsor and provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. We now have
received the 1st batch of sponsor of RMB15,000 to kick off the campaign
and there will be at least 30 voters get subsidised for their air fare.
We will increase the available sponsor if we received further contribution.
Bersih Shanghai reiterates our demand that the same standard vote
counting procedures must be adopted at the overseas polling stations
with the appointment of counting agents to verify and agree to the
figures of ballots, to ensure ballots are properly issued, counted and
counting result being agreed at the polling station before sending back
to Malaysia. We do not want the ballots being exposed under the risk of
being replaced during the transportation to SPR office in Malaysia.
As
the ballots counting is not going to be held at the overseas polling
location (embassies), but to be counted at Putrajaya, we are worried
that the overseas votes could be replaced during the transportation.
Due to the above concern, we encourage those who share the concern to go back and vote.
We also understand that there are many Malaysians in China who wish to
come back to vote but less affordable; following this special subsidy,
we hope they could now go back to vote.
6th March 2013: While the current Barisan Nasional Federal government may continue
after this Friday, five years to the day the last general election was
held in 2008, its political legitimacy can be questioned, said a
constitutional law expert.
"BN remaining in office from March 9
to June 28, 2013 is constitutional and legal, but its political
legitimacy and moral authority are in question.
"Voters can
legitimately say that they voted for a BN government on March 8, 2008 to
govern for five years, and if that government does not choose to secure
another mandate within that period, it becomes a caretaker government,"
said prominent lawyer Tommy Thomas in an article published by news
portal Malaysiakini.
According Tommy, the current parliament will
expire on April 28 this year, and general election must be held within
60 days, by June 28.
However, he said if prime minister Najib
Razak's administration would like to stick to the tradition of holding
state and parliamentary elections on the same day, parliament should be
dissolved much earlier than May 26.
This is because May 26 is the
last day polling must be held for Negri Sembilan, whose state assembly
expires automatically on March 26.
'Why delay?'
Tommy (pic, left) said
the Westminster-style system adopted in Malaysia meant that the PM
could dictate the date of election, even to call for polls much earlier.
He recalled that in utilising this privilege, all past prime ministers including Abdullah Badawi had dissolved parliament early.
"So
why has Najib Abdul Razak not utilised the privilege attached to his
office by advising the Agong to dissolve Parliament before the expiry of
his term, to be followed by GE13? Only one answer can be inferred: BN
is running scared of defeat," he added.
He said the ties between
politics and business could also lend credence to the theory that the
government would like to enter into contracts benefitting its political
coffers ahead of the elections.
Tommy called on Najib to dissolve
parliament this Saturday, when the five-year term since the last
general election ends, in which case it will be right to call the
present government a 'caretaker government'.
"Ultimately, it is
pointless to speculate. The undeniable fact is that five years would
pass this weekend after the holding of the last election, with no
announcement of a dissolution of Parliament and the fixing of the date
for GE13. When this occurs, the BN government forfeits the moral high
ground to govern our nation," wrote Tommy.Best viewed using Mozilla Firefox 9.0.1 or Chrome with 1280x800 resolution.
should
CHANGE does not happen this time, Malaysia is going to follow the
footsteps of Greece officially! Even PR is able to win, there are LOTS
of repair to be carried out, especially there is a black hole in the
nation fund! Malaysia is (or more accurately
"can be") a great country. i feel so sorry to my fellow Malaysians who
most of them are decent and warm-hearted. I hope so much my home country
Malaysia and my fellow Malaysians can have what they should have long
deserved!
MANILA - President Aquino on Monday said there are definite signs of a
conspiracy in the move of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III and his
followers to use force to press their claim over Sabah, Malaysia.
In a statement, Aquino told Kiram III, one of the claimants to the
title of sultan of Sulu, that it is unreasonable to ask for
understanding "when you have a gun pointed at my head."
He noted that aside from the lives of Kiram's men, the Philippine
government is also concerned about the 800,000 Filipinos in Sabah whose
lives could be jeopardized by the Kiram group's action.
The President said he is not blind to signs that point to a conspiracy in the ongoing tension.
"Mulat tayo na may mga taong nagkutsabahan upang humantong tayo sa
sitwasyong ito, isang sitwasyon na walang agarang solusyon. Ilan po sa
kanila ay nakikita natin habang ang iba naman ay nagkukubli naman sa
dilim," he said.
"Sa mga taong nasa likod nito, ngayon pa lang sinasabi ko sa inyo,
hindi kayo magtatagumpay. Pananagutin natin ang nagkasala sa bansa," he
added.
He later told reporters that he had received intelligence reports and
authorities are monitoring "persons of interest" on the Sabah issue.
Aquino said all the individuals pushing for the Kiram claim were
mouthing the same lines over and over again. He also noted the Kirams
would have had to spend at least P100,000 to hire a large boat to bring
their forces to Lahad Datu in Sabah, Malaysia.
Aquino said the Kiram family used 2 large boats and a speedboat to bring their men to Sabah.
He indicated that the Kirams could not have financed the operation,
noting that Kiram III is receiving financial support from the government
through the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) for his
regular dialysis.
Aquino said the Kiram family used 2 large boats and a speedboat to bring their men to Sabah.
"Funds and the food, the money that was left behind, yung mga
concerted, seemingly concerted criticisms all point to a conspiracy," he
said.
Asked about the meeting between former President Gloria Arroyo's
National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales and Jamalul Kiram, the
President said he does not accuse without the proper evidence.
"Hintayin na lang po natin ang resulta ng imbestigasyon," he said.
Aquino said he spoke with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak who
said negotiations with the Kiram group were no longer possible after the
deaths of Malaysian police commandos last week. --
Chicken to be slaughtered later? ...Crowds lining up for RM500 under BR1M.
I went to a local assembly hall to look for Oriental Daily after i was not able to buy a copy at any shop.
I wonder why so many people in the assembly hall.
I asked a senior guy. He said people queueing up to hv RM500. I showed
him my photo on Oriental Daily that i Fly back from Switzerland to vote.
I told him because situations in Malaysia cant be worse anymore, thus i
fly back to vote for change.
Till now, he is the only one
responded that i am wrong. Indeed, he said because i studied overseas,
thus i hv gained a wrong picture abt Malaysia.
I told him i studied my bachelor degree n my master degree both in Malaysia.
I encouraged him to have further discussion why he thinks i hv got a
wrong picture abt Malaysia. I asked him whether he thinks what he earns
is sufficient to support his family. I asked him where the money of the
23 karat cincin come from? Is "Jimat-jimat" capable to pay for the 23
karat cincin?
Even though i welcome his opinions, he refused to talk further but he chose to walk away.
While i saw so many people in spite of ethnics, in spite of ages, queueing up for RM500, in my heart, i say:
When every one of you gets RM500 here, can u see how much money they have eaten!?
While you guys take RM500 which you only get just before election, hope
you guys knowing after you take the money, u can still vote for CHANGE.
Should you guys still choose to be ignorant n think the government is
good to you by giving you a small token amid rise of goods, tolls n
taxes, you guys shall enjoy to be continued to have your hard-earned money to be sucked n live in an
unsafe environment!
A comment from my gf Jo: After
40 odd years supposedly growing up in Malaysia's 'Golden Years', I have
witnessed our country's digression compared to the other Asian
countries. Costs of essential services are killing small and medium
genuine businesses, but more importantly, the
youth today has very little social values nor they possess much
independent opinions which are sound. Not that it's their fault, I can
see it's a deliberate act of dumbing down our population by authorities
through damaging policies in our education system. It's easier to
control people who can't think... Wake up people... Once we lose our
youth , we lose our country..
